I think the only deference between the 1710 and 1720 was that the 1720 was Shuttle Shift with Diff Lock and it had a full set of synchros. The 1710 is partially synchronized meaning that you have to come to a stop and use the clutch when changing ranges. I helped the neighbor put the clutch in his 1720.
